West Virginia woman files lawsuit against Polyphony Digital

A West Virginia woman has filed a law suit against Polyphony Digital, the makers of the Gran Turismo series, after she made a bad purchase based on Gran Turismo 4 statistics.

She said that she included the game as one of the major factors in her buying decision to purchase a VW Golf GTi, but found after a few days of driving, the handling and speed did not match that of the game. She then took it for a refund to her dealership, but they turned her down for the simple reason that not being satisfied with the performance was not a good enough reason for a return.

"I liked playing Gran Turismo 4 and felt that most of the cars handled like real life cars, so when I came across the GTi, I thought the real life car would handle the same, but when I took it for a drive after the first few days I bought it, it did not drive like what I thought it would" - Sally McPherson.

The case was filed on July 28th in the West Virginia Circuit Court. So far, there has been no word from Polyphony Digital.

The famous gangster gamer, hiphopgamer has some how managed to wreck a US $100+k supercar at a recently held Forza Motorsport 3 exposition in Germany.

While taking the car for a drive with other journalist drivers, he entered into a skid and plummeted directly into a tree on the median. Considering the high speeds they were driving at, the damage was quite significant. Omega508 sent this phone cam shot of the wreck, showing some significant damage to the car, along with the shredded tree.

HHG walked away with no injuries, but it seems some people may not be happy about a wrecked R8.

So I was on N4G today, saw a post about a Gran Turismo 5 fact sheet. Man did I get excited until I realized it was based only on speculation. I mean come on, what a cheap way to get hits. Also, how many times have they made up stuff to cause controversy and what not. It's ridiculous. I think in their whole history, they must have brought one good story (TRICO) and that's it. Everything else was pulled out from a crystal ball apparently.
